Sergiño Gianni Dest was born on the 3rd of November 2000, nad he is a professional soccer player who plays as a full-back for La Liga club Barcelona and the United States national team. The player who was born in the Netherlands to a Dutch mother and Surinamese-American father, has represented the United States internationally at senior level since 2019.
On the 15th of October 2018, Dest was one of the young talents that debuted for Jong Ajax, in a 2–1 loss against Jong PSV. ESPN reported that on the 24th of November 2020, Dest scored his first goal for Barcelona in a 4–0 away win over Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League group stage. The report has it that in doing so, Dest became the first American to score a professional goal for the club. And on the 21st of March 2021, he scored a brace in a 6–1 away win over Real Sociedad.
As per talkSPORT, Dest has represented the United States at youth and full international level. He represented the United States under-17s at the 2017 FIFA Under-17 World Cup, and the United States under-20s at the 2019 FIFA Under-20 World Cup, where he played four matches.
The report has it that the young star made his senior debut for the United States on the 6th of September 2019, starting and playing 68 minutes in a 3–0 friendly loss against Mexico. The American international chose to commit his international future to the United States at the senior level on the 28th of October 2019.
