Hong Kong Visa Requirements for Nigerian citizens

You will be required to give the following information in order for your visa to Hong Kong to be accepted.

Visa Application Form-Completed application form for Hong Kong. This must be completed and signed by the applicant before being submitted.
Passport Photo- Provide a passport-sized photo that is no older than 6 months.
Passport Copy- A clean scanned copy of the Nigerian passport with the information pages and a signature will be required. You must give the pages of your current passport containing your photo, personal information, passport issue and expiration dates. Your Nigerian passport must be valid for six months beyond the expiry date of the Visa.

If you are employed, you must supply a letter from your employer on business letterhead stating that a leave of absence was granted. The objective of the trip, its duration, and the fact that you will be returning to your existing employment should all be stated in the letter.
Bank Statement- You will be required to produce your most recent 6-month bank statement. An income tax return (ITR) report will be needed from you.
If you are a student, you must present an official letter from your school showing that you are in good standing and have registered for the upcoming semester.

Retired– If you are retired, please include documentation of your retirement fund with your application.
A travel itinerary is a travel reservation in your name to and from Nigeria. This is not a reference to a ticket. The embassy advises you not to book airline or hotel tickets until your visa has been approved. Purchasing actual tickets before the visa is accepted may result in a loss of money, especially if the reservation is not honoured, your flight is delayed, cancelled, or worse, the visa request is denied. You may always receive the greatest hotel and flight itinerary within minutes of your visa being approved.

Invitation Letter- If you were invited by the country, a corporation, or your family and friends, you must produce a letter of invitation stating their link with you. The letter should include the purpose of your visit, the length of your stay, where you will be staying, and whether or not the individual will be paying for your stay. If the said person is making preparations for you, you must give proof of their funds.

You must get the Hong Kong visa application form as well as the Declaration form online. Make a physical copy of the document. The form is also available at the Consulate General of the Chinese Embassy.

Please include any necessary papers.
When finished, you must personally deliver the visa application form and supporting documents to the Chinese Consulate in Lagos. Your application will be processed and approved by the Hong Kong Immigration Department.
You may be asked to attend an in-person interview at the Chinese Consulate.
