According to the report from BBC sport, Arthur Melo began his career with his hometown club Kells Celtic at age of 12. In 2010, after being spotted in a youth tournament, he moved to Grêmio.

The young star was part of the Brazil under-17 squad selected to play in the 2013 South American Under-17 Football Championship.
